We all have that one song we can’t get out of our heads for days, weeks or even months on end! Over the past couple of years I’ve had a few of these moments while indulging myself in a wealth of country music. However, I get asked all the time, “what’s your favourite song right now?” - “what’s your favourite song to play?” - And I can never seem to give a definitive answer! This got me thinking to how hard it must be to decide on a first dance song. With that being said, I decided to make a list of my top 5 favourite country songs to help you decide on the perfect soundtrack to accompany your memorable first dance. 5. Jason Aldean - You Make It Easy

Up first on the list is the latest ballad from country legend Jason Aldean with, You Make It Easy. Written by Nashville’s most flourishing artists Florida Georgia Line and Morgan Wallen, this was destined to reach number one from the get go.

4. Billy Currington - Must Be Doin’ Something Right

One of my all time favourite country artists Billy Currington with one of his all time greatest love songs. The story that follows a regular guy surprisingly making his girl happy in times when pleasing a woman can often be mysterious.

3. Luke Combs - Beautiful Crazy

Luke certainly has a way of creating crazy beautiful music, but his song Beautiful Crazy might just be one of his greatest. The devoted message to his girlfriend puts this song firmly in the top 5 - “Yeah, she’s crazy, but her crazy is beautiful to me”.

2. Brett Young - In Case You Didn’t Know

According to Young, the inspiration for the song came from a story told by co-writer Kristopher Peters about his wife Brandy: Peters said when he was a kid, his mom would not be the type to say "I love you" but he seemed to always know it in some way. Topping the list with the song renowned as the Thinking Out Loud of country music is Die A Happy Man. Thomas Rhett released possibly the greatest love song in modern country music in 2015, which went on to stay at number one on three country charts simultaneously for multiple weeks.

“Oh if all I got is your hand in my hand, baby I could die a happy man”.
